The government has launched a £91m fund to improve and increase efficiency in high-cost council services, including temporary accommodation and adult social care, across 14 councils. South Gloucestershire Council will have no say over 450 homes in Coalpit Heath after delays in determining the application. A £120m Liverpool city-centre project could deliver 400 homes, while Trafford Council is expected to approve a 286-flat build-to-rent scheme in Old Trafford.
